On July 22, the Starting Ceremony of the 3rd Lot of Wind Power Projects was held in Jiuquan City of Gansu Province. Among the other projects, the 300MW Mazongshan Wind Farm developed by CHINT Solar kicked off its construction.

The project, located at Mazongshan County, is expected to start the construction in July 2024 and commissioned by December of 2025. It is consisted by 48 pcs of 200-6.25 wind turbines, which will be installed to poles of 120m height. The project is also accompanied by a BESS system of 45MW/180MWh.

The annual energy yield of the project will be 908,578MWh, equivalent to a reduction of 273,900 tons of standard coal each year and the CO2 reduction will be 752,300 tons as soon as the project is commercially operational. The green power generated by this wind farm will be delivered to every corner of the country, making its contribution to the Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Target.
