Recently, the Qinghetan 100MW PV project was successfully commissioned. This is project, located at Yongchang County, Gansu Province, was developed, invested, constructed by CHINT, and the after its commission, the O&M would be contracted to CHINT as well.

The construction kicked off on 24th December of 2021. In January this year, the main work related to PV was finished and on 1st of August the project got into operation as soon as the on-load test operation of substation was completed, including its main transformer, 330kv HV bay, 35kv LV bay and all the equipment and cabinets.

The entire plant is formed by 30 PV units, totaling 120MWdc (100MWac), and equipped with a 20MW/40MWh BESS system. All the PV panels come from ASTRO6 series produced by Astronergy Solar, which are installed as per the optimal angle at 30°.

Upon its connection to the grid, it is expected to generate an average of 180 million kWh each year. Over 59,000 tons of Standard Coal, 16,321 tons of CO2, 19,800 tons of SO2 and 29,800 tons of NOx are reduced as the plant's green contributions to the environment.

In terms of economical beneficiary, the project would create an annual revenue of 55.4 million RMB, equivalent to 3.5 million of tax to the local government, and strongly promote the local renewable energy technical training and employment.
