The CHINT Green Day brand campaign, jointly hosted by CHINT Solar and CHINT Smartpower Services, was held on 19 July in Radisson Blu of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mr. Nirod C. Modal, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR), Mr. Shahriar Admed Chowdhury, Director of Centre for Energy Research at United International University (UIU), Mr. Nurul Akter, CEO of Energypac and President of BSREA, representatives from local Chinese companies, among other guests, attended the event.
Chint Solar, as one of the leading renewable energy solution providers in China, is dedicated to bring safe, accessible, and affordable green energy to the world. Bangladesh, which is one of the countries of most scarcity of land resources in the world, has drawn attention from the company since years ago. The local branch, Chint Solar BD, was incorporated in early 2021 and since then, our team has developed a portfolio of 360MW and part of the projects is expecting breakthrough in near future.
Mr. Wang Quan, as DGM of CHINT Solar Strategy & Development Center and MD of CHINT Smartpower Services, made the opening speech. On behalf CHINT, he expressed the gratitude to all relevant parties in Bangladesh for their supports and concerns to CHINT. Besides, he also made the formal announcement of CHINT Smartpower Services' deployment in Bangladesh, as Operation & Maintenance Service provider to all the renewable projects in the country.
Mr. Nirod made a speech, where he mentioned the local Authority's action plan in terms of the renewable energy and the positive achievements of the RE industry.
Professor Shahriar made a presentation regarding the panorama of the RE industry in Bangladesh, covering all the topics such as natural resources, public policies, challenges, and opportunities.
2 sessions of panel discussion with topics of rooftop PV and O&M in Bangladesh were held during the event. Management, chief engineers, and scholars from SREDA, PGCB, DESCO, BSREA joined the discussion.
Mr. Gan Peng, Managing Director of Chint Solar Bangladesh, made the closing speech. In his speak, he expressed the company's attitude toward a wider cooperation with local partners and deeper bounding to the local market.
